Author: Swati Sarnobat Post Date: 18 Dec 2023 CTET is an abbreviation for the Central Teachers Eligibility Test. It is a national-level examination for aspiring teachers in India that is conducted in all states in India. It is suitable for teachers who are seeking job satisfaction and security.
If you are seeking a job as a teacher in any government or private school, then CTET is mandatory. You can become a teacher in a government-aided institution or even an Army school. But if you are applying for KVS, DSSSB, or NVS, CTET is not a compulsory requirement. Even candidates passing national-level examinations such as NET or SET are considered even if they have not appeared for CTET. Some institutions are willing to accept candidates who have not cleared CTET, but CTET is highly recommended for teachers who are seeking jobs in the best institutions.
