What is COMEDK UGET?
COMEDK UGET stands in short for "Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka - Under Graduate Entrance Test.
Earlier, it was a common entrance examination conducted for admissions to Medical, Dental, and Engineering Private Colleges coming under the umbrella of autonomous organizations: AMDEP-(Association of Medical, Dental, and Engineering Private Colleges) and KPCF- (Karnataka Professional Colleges Foundation Trust ) in Karnataka. But no more. After NEET, the entrance test COMEDK UGET is the ONLY one for Engineering admissions. Medical admissions are by NEET.
Whether it is worth studying and appearing for COMED K- UGET?
The answer will be based on individual aims, aspirations and goals. Not all can get into IITs and NITs. Such students across the country can attempt the COMED K test.

Karnataka is a pioneer state in establishing premier professional educational institutions and is still a sought-after State for such education. There are still some highly sought-after colleges in Karnataka.
It is a single-point admission test for a large number of participating colleges. Around 200 colleges and institutions including Deemed Universities admit students from COMDK exam results. Some of these institutions are among the top-ranking institutions in the country.
Unlike JEE etc. this is a one-stretch exam and hence students can save a lot of time and avoid delays in various stages of processing.
The COMED K tests are said to be relatively less tough and students with focus and proper academic study in plus two in the tested subjects may find it comparatively easy.
COMEDK exams are conducted at various centres in Karnataka and in other States across the country. This test is open to all the eligible students in the country. Non-Karnataka students can also get admission as per the all India quota and eligibility. This is especially helpful for the students from adjacent States.
