An Irish MBBS degree is equivalent to that of the UK, USA, Europe and other Asian countries. This degree is recognized by WHO, MCI, IMED, GMC and USMLE

The degree course is generally 6 years, which includes 5 years of study and 1 year of internship.

The following are the conditions to be fulfilled by the candidate who graduated in the medical field from a foreign university to get registration in India
1. A candidate who obtained a degree from a foreign university should be eligible in that country to register for practising in that country. The licence given by that country should be on par with the licence given to that country's doctors.
2. After completing MBBS, Physical training and internship should also be completed there and there should be a piece of documentary evidence to prove this.
3. The candidate should have a Valid passport with VISA and immigration details.
4. The candidate should clear Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE).
5. The candidate should complete his internship in India also. It is in addition to the internship completed in a foreign country.
6. The medium of Instruction in graduation should be English.

If the candidate fulfils the above points, getting registration in India is not a problem.

I was unsure whether my MBBS degree from Ireland would be recognized in India. However, after getting the relevant certifications and documentation, I discovered that my MBBS degree was in fact recognized in India. This gave me the confidence to pursue a medical profession in India, and I feel really fortunate to have been able to pursue my medical degree in a different country and gain international experience.
