MBBS degrees from Ukraine are accepted by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and are regarded as legitimate in India, according to my study. However, it is significant to note that graduates of the MBBS programme in Ukraine who intend to practise medicine in India must pass a screening test administered by the MCI.

I learned about this from a friend who obtained his MBBS from Ukraine and then relocated to India to start a medical practice. He was required to take the MCI screening test, which included two components: a written test and a practical test. The written examination, which was formatted as multiple-choice questions, examined the candidate's understanding of fundamental medical concepts such as anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, microbiology, etc. Clinical evaluations and case presentations made up the practical examination.

My friend said that the screening test was difficult and that he had to put a lot of effort into studying for it. He did add, though, that the education he had in Ukraine was of high quality and had greatly aided his test preparation.
Therefore, students who intend to practise medicine in India must pass the MCI screening test, and an MBBS degree from Ukraine is recognised in India. According to my friend's personal experience, his education in Ukraine was of high quality and greatly aided his screening exam preparation.

I recently finished my MBBS at a medical school in Ukraine and was wondering if my degree would be valid in India. After doing some research, I am happy to report that the answer is yes!

The Medical Council of India (MCI) recognizes MBBS degrees from foreign countries, including those from Ukraine, provided they meet certain criteria. These criteria include that the course must have been completed in an accredited university and that the student must have obtained a minimum of 55% marks in their final exams. In addition, the student must have completed a one-year internship in a recognized medical institution. As I had met all of these criteria, I was pleased to find out that my MBBS degree from Ukraine would be valid in India. This means that I could register with the MCI and practice medicine in India. Having my MBBS degree from Ukraine was not an easy journey. It was a lot of hard work and dedication, but it was worth it in the end. I am very thankful for the opportunity to pursue my medical studies in a foreign country and am glad that I can now practice medicine in India.
