Is NEET compulsory to get admissions for Nursing courses abroad?
Author: Algo Shaji Post Date: 13 Apr 2023 When it comes to getting admission for nursing courses abroad, the answer to whether or not NEET is compulsory is not a simple one. Depending on the country and university you're looking to apply to, there can be different requirements. Some universities may require the NEET exam while others may not.
In my opinion, I believe that the NEET should not be mandatory for getting admission into nursing courses abroad. The NEET exam is a comprehensive test that covers a wide range of medical-related topics, and while it may be beneficial to have a general knowledge of these topics, I don't think it should be a mandatory requirement for admission.
Nursing is a highly specialized field and the knowledge necessary for success in the profession is not necessarily covered in the NEET. It's important to note that there are many other criteria that universities look for when considering admission for nursing courses. These may include prior experience in the field, letters of recommendation, and a strong academic record.
In conclusion, I believe that the NEET should not be a mandatory requirement for admission into nursing courses abroad. While having a general knowledge of medical topics may be beneficial, there are many other factors that universities should consider when making admission decisions.
Author: Samuel Unni Post Date: 13 Apr 2023 I can, however, tell you about my sister's experience, who wanted to study nursing abroad. She was also confused if admission to a nursing programme overseas requires NEET.
So, after doing some research, my sister learned that not all nursing programmes abroad require the NEET. In actuality, it is dependent upon the nation and the college she wished to apply to.
For instance, NEET is not necessary for admission to nursing programmes in some nations like the United States, Canada, and Australia. However, some nations, like the United Kingdom, Ireland, and regions of Europe, may impose a NEET score requirement as a condition of entrance.
Because NEET scores were not necessary, my sister applied to institutions in the US, Canada, and Australia. After completing the application process, she was accepted into a Canadian nursing programme.
Author: DR.N.V. Srinivasa Rao Post Date: 13 Apr 2023 NEET is mandatory for MBBS and BDS in India. Even a candidate who did his MBBS or BDS abroad he/ she should get qualified in NEET. If a person who is not qualified in NEET may get admitted to these courses in some colleges abroad. But they should pass a separate test to practice in India when they come back to India.
But NEET is not required for nursing courses and it is not mandatory in India as well as in other countries also. Some colleges in India allot seats in B.Sc Nursing based on the rank in NEET.
Different countries follow different procedures for the intake of students. So one should decide on the country first and then search for the process for admission. IELTS or TOEFL scores are also required for admission to nursing schools in some countries.
