To get admission into various NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and IITs, the eligible candidate should register their candidature on the official website of JOSAA 2023. ( josaa.nic.in.). As per this site, the registration process will start on 19th June 2023. This is a tentative date and there may be a change. Interested candidates should be following the site regularly for the latest updates.

Only candidates qualified for JEE Main or JEE Advanced can register here for a seat in the above-mentioned institutes. In addition to the above the candidates should fulfil other requirements laid down by the institutes opted by the individual, if any.

Once the link on the website is opened the candidates can register their names following the below-mentioned procedure.

1. Open the official website of JOSAA 2023.

2. Then the registration link is to be opened by clicking on the link given on the website.

3. Log in to the page using JEE Main 2023 roll number and password. Candidates who qualified in JEE Advanced can use their roll number in that examination and log in.

4. Enter the details asked for like nationality, gender etc. Please be careful in filling up the data as except for contact details no other information can be changed once submitted.

5. Check the details so that you are sure of correctness.

6. Then the college choices are to be filled. A list of courses and colleges should be carried in their order of preference.

7. Then the choices are to be locked. Before locking the choices please sure that you did it properly. Once locked you changing is not possible.

JOSSA counselling: Around six rounds of counselling will be carried out to allot seats.

Seats will be allotted on the basis of their JEE Main/JEE Advanced merit, preferences, category and availability of seats. Once the allotment is given. the respective candidate has to download their provisional allotment letter. Then they have to pay the seat acceptance fee as mentioned on the site. After the fee is paid, the candidate has to get their documents verified.

After the document verification is over the candidate can go to the institute allotted to them to confirm seat allotment and fees are to be paid. This will complete the admission process.

I advise the students to be visiting the official websites of the institutes they are selecting and the JOSAA website also so that no information or news will be missed out.

The admissions procedure for the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) is managed by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). Typically beginning in June, the JoSAA admissions procedure for IITs includes multiple rounds of counseling and seat distribution.

Candidates must have passed the JEE Advanced exam, which is typically held in May, to qualify for JoSAA IIT admissions. Students who pass the JEE Main exam are eligible to take the JEE Advanced exam, which is the second stage of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).

Candidates must sign up for JoSAA counseling on the official JoSAA website following the announcement of the JEE Advanced results. Candidates would be requested, based on their JEE Advanced rank, to fill their preferences for IITs and courses during the counseling process.

The outcomes of the seat allocation will be made public by JoSAA after the counseling process is finished. When a candidate is given a place at an IIT, they must pay the acceptance fee and show up at the designated institute to complete the admissions process and have their documents verified.
