As a student who has gone through the process of applying and enrolling in a college in Kerala, I can say that the Kerala Engineering Admissions process was quite a grueling one. Firstly, I had to fill up a long application form with all my personal details, educational qualifications and other relevant information. After that, I had to attend an aptitude test, which tested my knowledge in multiple subjects. Once I cleared the aptitude test, I was called for the personal interview round. The personal interview round was quite stressful, as I had to answer questions on my academic performance, my future goals and my reasons for wanting to pursue engineering.

After the interview, I had to wait for the results of the admissions process. It was a nerve-wracking experience, as I was anxious to see if I had made it or not. Thankfully, I was able to secure a seat in my dream college and I am now well on my way to becoming an engineer. The experience of going through the Kerala Engineering Admissions process was quite an eye-opener for me and I am thankful for all the lessons I learnt from it.

Kerala has many Engineering Colleges with more of self-financing colleges apart from government colleges and NIT.

Engineering colleges in Kerala offer most of the main courses as available in other states. The admission process is also much transparent with the common entrance examination and common allotment through online system incorporating state and Central guidelines in this regard. The statutory quotas are also available for various categories as per norms. There are there types of fees structures
1. The government fee structure in govt colleges and the govt aided colleges.
2. Fees structure for self-financing colleges as revised time to time with the mutual agreement of govt and the institutions.
3.The Management and NRI quota fees. Of course there are fee concessions(as per norms and specific quotas)for economically weaker categories students.
Most of the colleges have the Camus Placement Cells and there is a god record of campus placements.

However, over the last few years, the seats are not filled in many colleges and many vacancies existed. Hence towards the end of admission period colleges(mainly self financing clleges) admit students who had scored low in the entrance exams and even as lateral entry.
