For those looking to acquire enhanced legal expertise while working, the LL.M. Degree program for Executives offered by the Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU), Mumbai is a good choice. Note that while the admission notification in leading newspapers mentions the closing date to apply as 15th July, the official brochure gives the date as 31st July 2023. Whatever the case may be, better hurry as the seats are limited.
MNLU LL.M. Contact Classes: For the convenience of working people, classes will be conducted only on weekends, on both Saturdays and Sundays, as well as on Public Holidays. An evening class may be scheduled on a weekday if required. It is mandatory to maintain an attendance record of 75%, otherwise, you will not be permitted to appear for the semester-end exam. Seminars will be scheduled from time to time.
Know the Eligibility Criteria: Your age does not matter as there is no upper age limit. On the academic front, you should have an LL.B. either of 3 years duration or of 5 years duration, and you should have been in service or had some professional experience. In case you appeared for the qualifying exam for LL.B. in April or May of the current year, then also you can apply. Additionally, you must appear for, and pass the MNLU entrance exam.
In case you change your mind and decide not to pursue the program, then you can get a refund of the first installment of Rs. 80,000/- provided you notify the university quickly within one week of making the payment. Send the request for the refund by email to llmexec@mnlumumbai.edu.in otherwise, if the request goes beyond the 7-day deadline, then you will not get the refund.

General information
For the coming academic session of 2023-24, there are a total of 62 seats, with seats for reserved category candidates, residents of J&K, and NRIs/NRI-sponsored candidates/foreign nationals. The one-year MNLU LL.M. Degree program across two semesters has compulsory courses of three papers and a Dissertation. Elective Courses consist of 6 papers. You can complete the program within a maximum of two years from the date of admission. That is, you must complete a total of 24 credits with four mandatory papers of three credits each, and six Elective papers of two credits each. You are required to submit assignments/project work on time and attend all the requisite term-end exams. If you do not sit for any exam, then you will be declared a failed student.MNLU LL.M. MNLU LL.M. Degree Program Fees
The course fee varies, depending on whether you are a domicile of the State, from outside the State, or a foreign national. So for Maharashtra Domicile candidates, the fee is Rs.1,60,000/- (both semesters combined), for those outside the State (all-India basis) the fee is Rs. 1,80,000/-, and foreign nationals have to pay a fee of US$3500. The fee has to be paid in installments for each semester, that is, you pay Rs. 80,000/- for the first semester, and the same amount again for the second semester. The course fee covers the charges for use of the university library, the admission fee, and the course tuition fee.
