Manipal Institute or VIT Vellore - which one has better campus placements?

Having heard and read a lot about the placements of both Manipal Institute and VIT Vellore, I decided to dive deeper and get a more personal perspective. After speaking to some of my peers who have graduated from these institutions, I can confidently say that VIT Vellore offers better campus placements. My friends who graduated from VIT Vellore exclaimed that the institute offers a plethora of opportunities for students to get placed into their dream jobs. They also praised the institute for offering an excellent platform for students to build their professional networks. On the other hand, my peers who graduated from Manipal Institute expressed their dissatisfaction with the placements offered there. They stated that although the institute provided a large number of job opportunities, they were not as lucrative as those offered by VIT Vellore. Overall, based on my personal experience and the experiences of my peers, VIT Vellore seems to offer better campus placements than Manipal Institute.

These days rank of an institution with respect to the placement position of the students from the institute has become very important. Many students try to look into the companies that are visiting the college and recruiting. They will also see the highest package offered to a student in campus placements also as an important criterion for selecting the college. In this respect, private colleges are always the front runners over government colleges.
VIT is having a good track record in this respect. They have a 100% placement record in almost all branches. The highest package offered is reported as 75 lakhs per annum. This institution has accreditation with TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, etc. for academic research and campus placements.
Manipal Institute is also having a good track record in this respect. They also have a 100% placement record. Anyhow, the intake of students in this college is less when compared to VIT. Their highest package offered is reported as about 25 lakhs per annum.
For a student who looks for just placement only, both institutes are on par and a 100% placement record is there for both institutes. But if we look for the highest package offered and the brand value of the companies that are visiting the institute, I feel VIT has a slight edge over the other.
