Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh, is India's fourth oldest university and secured 1st rank among Universities in India and 38th in Asia. PU invites applications for the First year Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) course for the academic year 2023-2024. The admission procedure and other details for the MDS course at PU is as under-
Eligibility
Admission is based on the NEET-MDS score. The candidate is required to secure a category-wise minimum percentage in NEET-MDS for admission to postgraduate courses conducted in the particular academic year 2023 as under-PU MDS course specialties
- Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics - 03 seats
- Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery - 02 seats
- Oral Pathology & Microbiology - 03 seats
- Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopaedics - 03 seats
- Periodontology - 03 seats
- Prosthodontics & Crown & Bridge - 03 seats
Duration of PU MDS course – 3 years
Application procedure
Eligible and interested candidate should download the Prospectus & Admission Form from the PU official website www.dentalsciences.puchd.ac.inDuly filled and completed Admission form in all respects along with requisites Admission fee should be reached on or before the last date at the university office.
Admission Fee: Rs.2500/-(General and BC Category), Rs. 1250/- (SC/ST/PwD Category) & Rs. 3500/- (for NRI Category).
Mode of payment: For Indian Candidate, By Demand Draft in favor of Registrar, Panjab University, Chandigarh" payable at Chandigarh. No other mode of fee payment shall be accepted.
For NRI candidates, Bank Draft 18 in US dollars/ Pounds, Sterling/ Deutschmark or an equivalent amount in Indian Currency

Candidates who completed their BDS from an IDA-recognised and approved institute are eligible to apply for this course. Admission to this course will be based on the rank obtained in the NEET MDS.

1. Dates for registration for NEET MDS counselling round- 1 are 27 Jul '23 - 1 Aug '23.
2. Counselling round-1 dates are 28th July 2023 to 2nd August 2023.

4. Candidates called for NEET MDS 2023 counselling round-2 should get registered during 17 Aug '23 - 21 Aug '23
5. The dates for choice filling for NEET MDS 2023 counselling round-2 are
18 Aug '23 - 22 Aug '23.
