Having personally experienced the process of gaining admission in medical science studies in India, I can confidently say that it is a long and challenging process. The first step is to appear for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). This is a nation-wide examination which tests the student's knowledge in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. After clearing the NEET exam, the students have to apply to the medical school of their choice and submit all the necessary documents. The admission process is highly competitive and requires a lot of hard work and dedication. Once the admission is accepted, the student is required to attend classes and complete the course.

The admission process in Medical Sciences like MBBS, BDS, MAMS and BHMS is done through the entrance exam NEET conducted by NTA. The students of the general category must score 50%. The students of SC, ST and OBC must score 40% to be eligible for admission in any course of Medical Science.

After the NEET exam, a merit list is generated. At the time of counselling, you have to choose the college of your interest as per the availability.
