NIELIT Admissions

The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology, Aurangabad is an AICTE-approved government institute This institute is offering three courses namely, B.Tech, M.Tech and PhD. A lateral entry provision is also there.
The eligibility criteria are as follows:
1. For admission to B.Tech, a candidate should have passed 10+2 in the Science stream with 45% marks. Selection will be on the basis of the score obtained in the JEE Mains.
For lateral candidates, a three-year diploma is required. Selection is based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
2. For admission to M.Tech, a candidate should have a B.Tech degree in the relevant discipline. The Selection will be carried out on the basis of the score obtained in the GATE.
3. Candidates with an M.Tech degree and 55% marks are eligible to apply for PhD course. The selection will be on the basis of merit.
For admission, a candidate who obtained JEE Mains score has to register for admission online on Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JOSAA) website (https://josaa.nic.in/)
The process will be as follows.
1. Go to the JOSAA site
2. Log in to the site using the JEE Main application number
3. Ensure that your candidate profile is accurate
4. Click on 'Submit changes
5. Preferred colleges and specializations are to be filled in according to the list of available options
6. Lock the choices by clicking on 'I agree to lock my choices'
7. Keep a printout of the page for future reference.

I recently applied for admission to the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) and found the process to be remarkably straightforward and efficient.
