NRI admission to VIT Vellore for B tech

There are two ways to admission to this institute for NRI candidates.
A: NRI candidates can attend VITEEE and get admission like any other Indian student.
B: The second method is admissions under NRI Quota. They can get admitted to B Tech in VIT directly. They need not write VITEEE. The following are the details for admission under this category.
The eligibility criteria will be as follows.
1. The students should study English as one of the subjects in the qualifying Examination.
2. candidates should have completed 12 years of schooling (equivalent to the 10+2 system of Indian Education). They should have studied the course with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology or Biotechnology as compulsory subjects
3. The candidates should score at least 60% or equivalent Grade in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) or Biology or Biotechnology (PCB) in standard XII or Equivalent qualification.
4. Candidates born on or after 1st July 2001 are only eligible to apply.
The candidate can apply online. Follow the instruction given carefully while filling out and uploading the application. Email addresses and Phone numbers are also to be filled in.
The university will scrutinize the application and verify all the documents. The institute will inform the eligible candidate about the branch allotment through email. The branch once allotted will not be changed.
No fees are to be paid while applying. The candidates will be informed about the advance to be paid in the allotment letter. The payment should be made in US Dollars. The remaining fee and other required documents asked for in the allotment letter are to be paid within the stipulated time.
After receiving full payment the candidate will receive an email with all required details along with the reporting date. Candidates should bring all original documents to report at the university.

After doing some research, my acquaintance discovered that VIT Vellore is among the top possibilities for those who want to pursue a B.Tech. at a reputable institution in India. However, being an NRI, he had many concerns and uncertainties about the admissions procedure.
