Pearl Academy is one of the well-known institutions providing education in the fields of media, business, design, and fashion established by the Global University System in 1993. It is located in five places in India, namely Bangalore, New Delhi South, New Delhi North, Jaipur, and Mumbai. For the upcoming academic year, they are providing admissions to students in the fields of fashion, business, interior design, communication design, product design, and films.

Eligibility criteria

MBA Degree

The candidate should be a graduate of a recognized university in any stream.

BBA Degree

Candidates who have completed 10+2 from any recognised institution can apply.

M.Des.

If you are a graduate of any stream from a recognized university, then you can apply.

B.Des.

Any candidate who has passed 10+2 from a recognised institution or board can apply.

Note- If you have completed 10+2, then you can apply for an 11-month course.

Entrance exam

For master's and bachelor's degrees in the streams of fashion, products, communication, and design, you should appear for the GPT (General Proficiency Test) and DAT (Design Aptitude Test) exams. The duration of GPT is 30 minutes, while the duration of DAT is 90 minutes, and a personal interview is conducted for 30 minutes.

For Business Programs candidates applying for bachelor's or master's degrees should appear for the GPT test only. The General Proficiency Test is held for 60 minutes, and a personal interview is conducted for 30 minutes.

11-month course- An entrance test is not held for candidates applying for an 11-month course.

How to apply

The candidates should visit the official site of Pearl, www.pearlacademy.com.
Then, click the option 'How to Apply' on the homepage. Then, as you scroll, you can find a hyperlink to the text 'Online application 2024'. When you click the hyperlink, a new webpage is opened.
Then fill in the required details and use the button 'Register'.
On your mobile device, an OTP is sent, and you should validate the OTP.
Then you should proceed with the payment of the application fee.
Then you can select your gateway for payment by choosing options such as credit card, debit card, or net banking.
After successful payment, you are sent an auto-confirmation email, which is successfully sent to your email address along with information about the application form number and instructions to fill out the application form further.
After receiving the confirmation mail, you are provided with an application form. So, you should fill out the application form and press the option 'Submit'.
Use the option 'Save' and then take a printout of the copy.

Date of written examination: January 27th and 28th, 2024, between 9.00 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Admissions 2024

The admissions for the new session starting in 2024 are now open and interested candidates can apply here. Candidates need to fill out their details like full name, address, course of interest, etc.

The application process has 4 main steps that include-

Apply for the course-On successful submission of the application form, the candidate will receive a downloadable admin card that needs to be carried out at the time of the entrance examination.

Appear in the entrance exam-The Entrance Examination consists of 2 separate assessments, one is the general Aptitude Test or GPT (this includes questions related to English speaking skills, Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Ability) and another one is Design Aptitude Test or DAT (this is to learn about various skills of the candidates like creativity, imagination, drawing, designing, observation, etc.

Personal Interview-After the entrance examination, candidates will be required to appear in the personal interview where they need to carry their portfolio depicting their creative spirit, unique ideas, etc.

Scholarship result-Pearl Academy also offers scholarships to deserving candidates for which a separate application needs to be submitted. Please note that the applicant must have cleared the entrance examination to become eligible for a scholarship. Important Dates-

Last date to submit application: 23rd January 2024 (Tuesday)

Last date to publish Admit card: 24th January 2024 (Wednesday)

Written Exam will be conducted on: 27th & 28th January 2024 (Between 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM)

Personal Interview will be held on : 27th & 28th January 2024 (Between 11:30 AM – 5:00 PM)

Please note that the exam and interviews will be conducted in offline mode.

Application details-

The application can be filled and submitted online and students still pursuing their final exams can also submit their application provisionally. The application fee can be paid through a Debit card, Credit Card, or through Net Banking, so it is advised to keep the details ready while applying. Candidates will also require a Valid e-mail ID before applying for online application.
Steps-

Start with filling up the registration form

Once the mobile number and email id are submitted, verify the OTP (One Time Password) which will be sent to the registered Mobile no. and email ID

On successful validation, the applicant will get an option to pay the online application form charges

For payment, select the payment gateway either Payu or Paytm.

Select the method (Credit Card / Debit Card/Net banking) and Submit application fee charges. This fee is non-refundable

Once payment of Rs. 1500/- is done, the candidate will receive a confirmation email & SMS on his registered email ID/Mobile Number. The confirmation message will share the application form number, and instructions to complete the further application process online. Candidates just need to click on the given URL to complete the form

Option to update the information is also available if required

Lastly, they need to click on "Click here for final submit" to submit the filled application

Once submitted, they need to save their online application and take its printout for future reference. Candidate will receive the confirmation for his application
