Admissions to the PhD programme at Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
Andhra University offers a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in both part-time and full-time modes. Admission for the programmes will take place through Andhra University Research Common Entrance Test (AURCET).
Eligibility Requirements:
The Candidates desirous to join this course should have a post-graduate degree with at least 55% of marks. 50% marks is the minimum percentage required for SC/ST category or equivalent CGPA in the concerned subject or in an allied subject. The same is the requirement for both full-time and part-time courses.
Admission Process:
A)Selection will be based on the marks obtained in Andhra University Research Common Entrance Test (AURCET). Candidates qualified in CSIR-UGC-NET/ APSET/ Project Fellowship need not attend the written test. M. Phil qualified candidates also need not write the entrance test.
B) There will be two papers for each subject. The questions will be multiple-choice objective-type questions.
C) Paper-I is common for all Science and Engineering Subjects / Departments. In the same way, Paper 1 is common for all Arts Subjects / Departments. The paper will be for 50 marks and the duration is 45 minutes. Paper-I of the Science stream is different from Paper-I of the Arts stream.
D) Paper II is for 90 minutes. This paper will contain 100 multiple-choice questions. Each question will carry one mark. This paper will be on the concerned subjects. The syllabus can be obtained from the website of the university (https://www.andhrauniversity.edu.in/). Paper II will be different for each subject.
Application Process:
1. The application can be downloaded from the website of the university.
2. A hard copy of the application should be taken and it should be filled in by the applicant in his/her handwriting with the required details.
3. Rs.800/- is the application fee. It is Rs.500/- for SC/ST candidates. A Demand Draft in favour of the Director, Directorate of Admissions, Andhra University on any Nationalised bank payable at Visakhapatnam is to be obtained and attached the same to the application. The name of the candidate and the programme for which the application is made should be written on the back side of the DD.
4. The filled-in application in duplicate with the DD and copies of the other required documents should be sent by registered post or in person to the following address: The Director, Directorate of Admissions, Andhra University, Vijayanagar Palace, Pedawaltair, Visakhapatnam-530017
5. Candidates should apply separately for each subject.

Admission to the Ph.D. program at the central university of Jharkhand, Ranchi
The Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ) is a central university located in Ranchi, Jharkhand, India. It is UGC affiliated, and established in 2009. It offers doctoral programs in various disciplines
Check eligibility:The candidates who wish to get admission to the Ph.D. program of the Central University of Jharkhand must possess a Master's Degree in a relevant discipline or an equivalent degree from any recognized college or institute or university.
They must have secured a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in the UGC 7-point scale or an equivalent degree from a foreign educational institution accredited by an approved Assessment and Accreditation Agency.
There will be a relaxation of 5% of marks for the students belonging to SC/ST/Differently Abled (PWD) categories. They must have a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying examination.
The prospects who have appeared in the final year examination and their results are awaited are also eligible to apply.
The candidate who has an M.Phil degree or whose M.Phil Dissertation has been evaluated but the viva-voce is pending can also apply for admission to Ph.D.
The candidates who have qualified for any national level test such as UGC-NET/UGC -JRF/UGC- CSIR JRF/ UGC-CSIR NET/ GATE / DBT-JRF / ICMR-JRF / Teacher fellowship holder will be exempted from the CET/PET conducted by the University for admission to the Ph.D. program.
Application procedure: The candidates who are interested to join the Ph.D. program at the Central University of Jharkhand must visit the CUJ official website of the central university of Jharkhand, Ranchi, and read the instructions carefully before applying. First, the candidate needs to submit the application fee. For this, they must register through the registration portal. After registration, all the applicants must fill out the online application available on the online portal of the university. All the required details must be filled in the application form carefully and the complete application must be submitted along with the required documents. The candidate should provide all the required details and upload a clear latest photograph and scanned signature. After submission of the application form, the candidates must take a printout of the computer-generated application form and keep it for further submission at the time of the interview.
Application Fee: The candidates will have to pay an application fee along with the application form.
Selection Procedure: Selection to Ph.D. programs will be done based on their performance in the written test conducted by the university. The written test will be conducted online mode only. The date and time of the written test will be shared with the candidates separately. The candidates who will qualify written test will be called for an interview. Only a limited number of candidates will be called for written tests or interviews based on their academic records and other documents submitted with the application such as a statement of purpose etc. In the final selection, a limited number of candidates will be called for a written test or interview, based on their performance in GATE or NET exam, grades/marks in the qualifying examination, etc.
