The Kongu region refers to the western parts of Tamil Nadu, southeastern parts of Karnataka and eastern parts of Kerala. Earlier, this region didn't have facilities for quality education and Kongu Engineering College (KEC) was established to promote quality education to the students of the region.
KEC is affiliated with Anna University and accredited by NAAC with an A ++. It offers various undergraduate programs like B.E/B. Tech and BSc, Masters Programs like M.E/M.Tech and MSc and other Post Graduate programs like MBA & MCA.
This college has a good record in terms of placement of candidates and reputed firms hire candidates from Kongu Engineering College. CTS, Infosys, Accenture, HP, Tech Mahindra, and L&T are some of the recruiters and till March 23, around 1250 students of the 2023 batch were placed.
The training cell of the college conducts various training programs to boost the skills of the students required in the industries and apart from the usual training on Soft Skills and Mock interview sessions, the college also conducts Hackathon, Boot camps and Coding contests.

I had an amazing experience at Kongu Engineering College, Erode, Tamil Nadu. From the moment I stepped onto the campus, I was welcomed warmly by the faculty and staff. The classrooms were spacious and well-equipped with modern technology, allowing us to get the most out of our studies. The faculty were extremely knowledgeable and provided us with a wealth of resources to help us strengthen our knowledge in our chosen fields. The campus was always buzzing with activity, whether it be extracurricular or academic, and I was always able to make new friends and contacts. All in all, I would highly recommend Kongu Engineering College to any student looking for a well-rounded educational experience.
