Thadomal Shahani Engineering College First Year Engineering Admissions Counselling Sessions 2023

TSEC B.E. Admissions Process
Admission to the first-year engineering courses at TSEC Mumbai for 2023-2024 will be as per the notifications of the State Govt.'s Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell). Accordingly, in the initial round of admissions, students can apply for admission against the institute quota, which is 20% of the sanctioned intake, with seats allotted on the basis of the merit list prepared with the scores of the MHT-CET. In case of vacant seats after this round, the next round of admissions will begin. Note that students who are of the Sindhi Minority category will get an offer of admission against vacant seats of the Sindhi quota in the Common Admission Process (CAP) round of admissions. There may also be vacant seats for students who are not of the university (these are known as seats for Other than Home University). You need to regularly check the website to get updates on the admission process, including the schedule later for vacant seats that may come up after the initial phase of admissions.
Thadomal Shahani Engineering College (TSEC), Mumbai has now released the notification for the counselling sessions for admission to the first year of the 4-year engineering courses for the academic year 2023-24.
Eligibility requirements for Maharashtra State candidates
You should be an Indian national, and passed the Class 10 exam and the Class 12 exam (or equivalent). At the Class 12 level, you should have passed the exam with Physics and Maths as compulsory subjects along with any of these- Chemistry/Biotech/Biology/a technical vocational subject/Computer Science/IT/Informatics Practices/Agriculture/Engineering Graphics/Business Studies.
The acceptable Class 12 exam score is a min. of 45% marks (40% for reserved category candidates) in these subjects taken together. Also, you should have appeared in all the subjects in MHT-CET, obtaining a non-zero score in MHT-CET. A Diploma in Engineering and Technology with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for reserved category candidates) in the qualifying exam is also acceptable.
Note- you can apply as a 'Type A' candidate if you are a Domicile of Maharashtra State and/or you are born in the State of Maharashtra. For the other types of candidature categories for Maharashtra State students, please refer to the official TSEC admissions portal.
Eligibility requirements for all-India candidates
The eligibility criteria are the same as for those applying as Maharashtra State candidates + JEE Main (B.E./B.Tech/) with a non-zero positive score.
2023-24 TSEC F.E. Counselling Schedule
You can attend a counselling session on any Saturday (till further notice), beginning this coming Saturday, that is, 17th June 2023. You can raise questions and get details on the courses, the admission process, and even how a particular course would be beneficial for your career path ahead. The college Principal and a special team appointed for admissions will give you the requisite information and guidance.
How to register
You have to register for the 2023 TSEC counselling session at https://tsecadmission.org/ and pay the registration fee of Rs. 500/- either through an online payment process to the Bank account of the college (it is mentioned on the registration form) or you can visit the college campus and pay it at the Accounts Office. This fee will not be refunded for any reason, and the fee is for the student and one parent only.
Important note- only the first 500 registered students will be allowed to attend the counselling session. So hurry!
