Ireland is one of the top ten educational destinations across the globe emerging rapidly as the most sought after destinations for the students for pursuing higher education. This fact can be established by observing the recent statistics where the students can observe a surge of almost 10% of number of students visiting Ireland.
The following tips would help Indian Students pursuing their studies in Ireland visiting the same place for the first time -
1) The students need to absorb their culture but at the same time, they should not forget their own culture.
2) In the state of boredom, the students can enjoy happy moments with their engagement with talks with their family members or friends living in India through their mobile phones.
3) Indians are very good at academics but at the same times, they lack lack of networking skills. The students should pay more attention to know the culture of Ireland including their festivals. Any student going to Ireland for the first time for studies should take care of the following points.

1. Conduct research and understand more about the place where you are going to stay for your studies.
2. Know the exact information about the university. You can talk to your known contacts if anybody in that country. Otherwise, you can go through the website of the university or you can contact the university officials as per the contact details given on their website.
3. Keep all the papers required with you when you are going there. University admission acceptance letters, your visa and passport, educational qualification certificate, etc.
4. Plan your travel from the airport to the place of your stay and select the best possible way. I understand public buses are available and you can choose them for your travel. You can book the ticket online also.
5. As early as possible get a SIM card there so that you can be in touch with all your family members.
6. All international students going to Ireland should obtain their GNIB card (Garda National Immigration Bureau) As early as possible after going there. This is very important, I understand and also this card is to be renewed every year till your studies there are over.
7. You should understand the surroundings and interact with different people there so that you will get acquainted with the environment there.
8. You should inform the concerned officers of the university about your arrival and should attend the office as per the date and time mentioned in your seat allotment letter.
9. Open a bank account and inform the details of your bank account and address, and the new mobile number to your family members in India.
