There were files and all the data in the form of a hardcopy is being filed. But with the advent of IT, people started getting their own servers and storing data there. This is a costly affair and small companies may not be able to afford the same. For such people, Cloud computing is coming in handy. This is a system of databases operated in data centres and warehouses. The required people can hire the space in these servers and can be used to access the required information over the internet from any place. This will be helpful in reducing IT overhead costs. This is very important for startups and small-scale business people. They need not have extensive IT facilities on their site.
With this cloud computing facility, consumers need not store their data on equipment CDs, DVDs, etc. In the IT field, we are seeing huge growth in AI, machine learning etc. So enterprises are utilising services that are offered by cloud computing centres.
