My son is doing his B Tech in computer science at VIT Vellore. I have been closely observing the campus and the institute as q whole for the last 3-4 years. So, I think I can give an honest and in-depth review of the college based on my last few years of experience with the college.
My son has been trying for IIT or NIT but unfortunately, he couldn't make it to any of the premium IITs or NITs. So, after comparing several private colleges in South India, we decided to choose VIT Vellore and proceed. He applied through their portal and appeared for the entrance test - VITEEE.
He scored a decent rank in VITEEE and joined the Vellore campus with the Computer Science stream. Since the beginning, he had a great experience there. We really liked the credit system and the opportunities the campus provides. There are several clubs, both technical and non-technical, which give tremendous opportunities for the students to prepare themselves for their future careers as well as life.
If you are keen on getting through campus placement and starting your career in a multinational company, VIT is an excellent choice. Go and join some of the technical clubs like Google Student Developer Club or similar ones.
The college is very strict in enforcing its rules which is actually good for the students. Attendance is mandatory in the classes. However, if you maintain a CGPA above 9, you will be exempted from attending some of the classes, which gives an extra opportunity for students to work on projects. My son spent a lot of time doing projects, learning new programming languages etc., which helped him get through campus placement for his summer internship in a big IT company.
Campus interviews are the way to get a high-figure salary in the beginning. Hundreds of big IT companies recruit from VIT Vellore and many of them offer dream salaries that go beyond 30 Lakhs per annum. This is something not even experienced software developers can expect in India.
Overall, I recommend VIT Vellore campus to any student who is keen on building a great career in IT. In my opinion, the VIT campus is comparable to NITs in India.
Drawback: If there is any drawback to be mentioned, that is the number of students in each batch. There are about 2,000 students in a B Tech batch. This gives you the option to enjoy your campus life but at the same time, if you are not competitive, you may get lost in the crowd. If you are a brilliant student who can be in the top few hundred students, VIT Vellore has unlimited opportunities for you!

VIT Vellore has maintained its reputation as one of the best institutions offering the quality education in the different streams such as the Mechanical, Electronics & Telecommunications, Civil, Chemical, computer Science etc so that they prove their best calibers in their areas of their work.
I have had the opportunity of visiting this campus multiple times since my own nephew is studying over there. I collected my reviews with the introductions of the several students of the different semesters which are noted below-
1) This institution is the major attraction for recruiters of the different organisations including the IT companies such as the Wipro, Microsoft, TCS, Amazon, DE Shaw and many more for haunting the best talents for their companies. These employers have their full faith that they can spot the best brains in course of interviews conducted in the multiple stages.
2) The management of the Institution takes a maximum care that most of aspirants are absorbed through campus interviews irrespective of their stream status. Because of the provision of excellent placement opportunities, this institution enjoys the rapport among the students taking part in the VIT Written Tests and the other tests.
3) The environment inside the campus is peaceful and favourable for sustaining their studies with the great interest in the streams which the aspirants have opted for.
4) The aspirants need not move elsewhere for their stationeries and other items since within the campus they would get the same at the reasonable price.
5) In respect of ill health, the aspirants get the best treatments of the competent doctors and this provides relief to their guardians as well apart from the aspirants.
6) There are different hostels both for male and female students devoid of any unfavourable situations.
7) However, there is the strict vigilance of the aspirants through the cameras reminding them of maintenance of decent behaviours all the times.
8) They run the medical college and the other courses such as the Laboratory Technician, X - ray technician, Pathologist etc for the benefits of the students with the superb education in the health care.
9) The only drawback what the students feel that there is undue restriction of mixing the two genders especially after the evening hours but it is also a way of arresting their diversions from their main goals ie their studies.

VIT vellore is one of the reputed Institute in India. Every year many student come here for getting degree in this institute. At present, my sister's daughter is doing B. tech in biotechnology from this Institute. As I noticed many thing from those student who are studying in this Institute. Mostly student were seen satisfied with faculties, infrastructure as well as facility. No doubt, it is best educational Institute.
VIT provides ffcs (fully flexible credit system) which gives flexibility to choose teachers and subjects of a particular branch. The CSE branch is good in vit and has good placement records. The ratio of students per teacher is 70:1. Faculties are highly qualified.
VIT provides the excellent placement opportunities for CSE department college students. Internships are available to students at the beginning of their third year at companies such as Amazon, Infosys, Mahindra, Google, Bosch, and TCS.
In core CSE/IT and even non-core branches, students get placed in top MNCs with good packages and learning experience.

VIT has very good Infrastructure. Here, from modern classrooms to fully furnished and high-tech labs, the college provides every facility that supports academic growth. The college also focuses on the overall development.Job Opportunities
Here placement record are very nice. Approx 80%student get job through campus selection. Top recruiting companies like Wipro, Microsoft, AppDynamics, DE Shaw, Udaan, Cloudera, and Amazon visit this college for placements.VIT provides the excellent placement opportunities for CSE department college students. Internships are available to students at the beginning of their third year at companies such as Amazon, Infosys, Mahindra, Google, Bosch, and TCS.

Fee structure

College Infrastructure
The institute has the best e-basic infrastructure including laboratories and equipment. The library is the best and there is a digital library also.Academics
The quality of teaching is very good, I understand the teaching staff are very well qualified. The teachers are very receptive and help the students if they approach.Placements
Vellore Institute of Technology is famous for its placement records. 904 companies visited the VIT for campus interviews. As per the official website of the institute, 14345 students got offers. The highest CTC offered is 1.02 crores per annum and the average CTC is about 9.23 lacs per annum.Admissions
The admissions are based on the entrance test that is being conducted by the institute. Foreign students need not attend the entrance test. There are some management quota seats also, I understand. Internship facilities are also available for the students.Campus
The campus is very spacious and all facilities required for the students are provided in the college as well as in the hostels. There are 26 men's hostel blocks and 08 women's hostel blocks.
