Master of Management Studies is a post-graduate course in management and the duration is 2 years. Any person who passed Under graduation is eligible to study this course. There are many specialisations in this PG course. The specialisations are Finace, marketing, operations, HR, etc.
MMS candidates are treated on par with MBA candidates. Career opportunities will depend more on the reputation of the institute from which the degree is obtained and the specialisation.
These MMS students will have many job opportunities in both the government and private sectors. A candidate who completed his MMS can also join as a lecturer in any college for teaching UG students. After completing MMS some students may pursue their PhD. Such candidates can become faculty in various institutes to teach UG and PG students. I know one candidate who did his MMS and Joined as a lecturer in a private college in Hyderabad to teach BBA students.
A candidate who completed his MMS in finance specialisation will be considered for management posts in the finance section of many organisations. As they put up experience they will get higher posts with higher salary and perks. In the company where I was working earlier, the Chief Financial officer was a MMS candidate with about 20 years of experience. Based on the number of years of experience candidates will be considered for Deputy Manager, Assistant Manager. Manager, etc posts in the organisations.

Just from the college candidates will be considered for the junior management positions and they can get higher responsibilities in the same line. The same is the case with MMS HR candidates.
