One of my had a chance to visit NIRD and he explained to me that NIRDPR is home to the National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR), an independent institution. He was very curious about the two flagship programmes they offer the PGDM-RM and PGDRDM. He also told me about the 4 additional courses available through distance learning. NIRDPR was founded in 1958, acknowledged as a "Centre of Excellence in Rural Development". If you are interested in applying to any of the PG Diploma programmes provided by NIRDPR can do so by visiting the institute's official website. NIRDPR acknowledges legitimate scores obtained in the CAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA, and CMAT. Performance in the PI and GD rounds will be taken into account when making the final decision. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 50% (45% for SC/ST and PWD applicants) or an equivalent grade to be eligible.

Last year, my buddy and his family visited NIRD Hyderabad to check about possible courses in which his sister may enroll. He was told that the institution provides a wide range of rural development and management courses. A two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development Management (PGDRDM), a one-year Post Graduate Diploma in Tribal Development Management (PGDTDM), a one-year Post Graduate Diploma in Natural Resource Management (PGD-NRM), and a one-year Diploma in Sustainable Agriculture are all available at the institute (DSA).

What shocked my buddy and his family was that NIRD Hyderabad also offers a variety of short-term training programs and seminars on a variety of rural development and management themes. These programs are aimed at professionals working in the field of rural development, government officials, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and other stakeholders interested in obtaining new skills and knowledge in this area.
