The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) are the two premier institutes working in the area of space science and have worldwide recognition. In interacting with various officials working in ISRO you will find them to be very methodical and work to a plan. They will observe very closely every small point also to achieve success in their mission.

In both organisations, there are engineers and scientists working in different areas. There are jobs in these organisations for engineering graduates and postgraduates, and graduates and postgraduates in sciences also.

Post-graduation in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Production Engineering is required for getting a job as an Engineer or Scientist in such an organisation. Graduates in the same subjects will be considered for junior positions. Similarly, candidates with M Sc in Physics, Chemistry and Electronics may also be considered for some positions. M.Sc in Statistics, Economics and commerce and MBA in Production Management, Human Resources and finance, may also have some suitable positions. B Sc graduates will also be considered for junior positions.

Generally, the admission process includes a written test, interview etc. Sometimes GATE scores will also be taken into consideration for selection. Doctorate degree holders in all fields will also be considered. Another advantage is individuals can pursue their higher studies while working in the organisation. There will be more jobs for engineers than science PGs.

Persons who are interested in doing research and work for the development of space science will be preferred in these organisations. Their selection process is very transparent and merit will never be ignored. There are no reservations also in these organisations in technical areas.

The minimum educational qualifications required to join organizations like the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) or the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) may vary depending on the specific position and role you are interested in. ISRO and NASA offer a wide range of jobs across various disciplines and fields.

Usually, the minimum educational qualification for technical and scientific roles in these organizations is a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. While the positions involving research and specialized expertise may require higher levels of education like a doctoral degree or master's degree. During the selection process, the factors such as research background, practical experience, and technical skills are also considered in addition to the educational qualifications.

It is important to note that competition for these organizations is typically high, so candidates with higher degrees, exceptional skills, and relevant experience are preferred. Therefore, it is beneficial if you pursue a higher degree, gain practical experience through research projects or internships, and develop knowledge and skills in your interested field. Note that eligibility criteria and recruitment procedures in these organizations may change over time. Therefore, it is recommended to refer to their career portals or official websites to get up-to-date information about the requirements for your interested positions.
