What courses can be pursued to start career as a UI/UX designer?
Author: Padmini Post Date: 31 Oct 2023 UI (User Interface) and UX (User experience) are very important for any online or digital platform to have a stable customer base. That is the reason this domain is among the top priorities while developing any platform. The combination of both decides the look and feel of the platform and defines the interactive flow of any platform. If we talk about courses to learn UI/UX, there are many short and long-term courses available, and interested candidates can choose as per their requirements.
For Short-term courses
There are many private online institutes offering design-related courses. Among them, Coursera is a good option offering a range of courses focusing on different sections of the UI/UX designing part. The courses are designed for different levels like beginners, intermediate, and expert, and that too with an option to decide the duration of the course as per the candidate's availability. There are some beginner-level courses available free of cost but the fee structure of other courses ranges between a few hundred to a few thousand.
Simplilearn is also a good option for pursuing UI/UX designing courses. The course and fee structure here are mostly similar to Coursera. Other similar options are Careerfoundary, Intellipaat, and Google.
Learn themes
Once a candidate is in the field of UI/UX, he needs to understand the theme of the platform on which he has to work. He needs to understand the probable customer mindset to design the platform accordingly. There are some websites offering various theme-based designs just to understand the basics.
Please note that the candidates can also create an account and create their portfolio here to get the work once they are confident enough to take designing skills professionally.
