Author: DR.N.V. Srinivasa Rao Post Date: 28 Sep 2023 The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology is a deemed University and has this status under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. It is an autonomous institute under the Department of Space, Govt. of India. A very standard institute and in my opinion this institute is on par with IITs in India.
This institute is offering the following two B Tech courses.
In addition to the two above the institute is offering a dual degree course. The course duration is 5 years. The students who complete this 5 years course will be awarded a B.Tech degree in Engineering Physics and a Master of Science/ M.Tech degree in one of the following four postgraduate streams: Master of Science in Astronomy and Astrophysics Master of Science in Solid State Physics M.Tech. in Earth System Science M.Tech. in Optical Engineering
People who join this course can't leave after 4 years with a B Tech degree. They should continue for PG also. But if the Director of the institute feels that some of the students are not performing well he may not promote them to the PG level but may be asked to leave with a B Tech in Engineering Physics.
