What is the admission process for engineering courses at GITAM University

Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management ( GITAM) is a private deemed-to-be university having its campuses at Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad and Bangalore.
The admissions to engineering courses in this university are based on the marks obtained by the candidate in the GITAM Admission Test (GAT).
As per the information given on the website of the university, in my opinion, the eligibility criteria for UG engineering courses are as follows.
1. Candidates must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 60% from any recognised board. In the case of CBSE and ICSE a minimum of 55% is required.
2. Subjects must include Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
3. For B.Tech in Biotechnology, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology is required
4. Candidates have to apply and qualify for GAT Engineering (UG).
The admission process will have the following step as per my understanding and the same are given below.
1. The candidates meeting the above criteria should fill up the application online. Then they should register for their GAT examination. Then their email ID and mobile number will be verified. Then fill out the application Review the application that is filled out and pay the fee for GITAM Admission Test (GAT). Download a copy and keep it for reference.
2. Attend the GAT and qualify in that.
3. After the results are out, a merit list is released, wherein the name of the shortlisted candidates will be mentioned.
4. Shortlisted candidates then need to appear for counselling.
5. Candidates should appear for personal interview rounds
6. Then candidates will be called for document verification, and submission of the course fee

One of my batchmates from undergraduate recently joined there for an MBA course. He was enquiring them about admissions for engineering courses for his younger brother. After going through the official website and finding the right course for you, you can apply through the same website for the course. Fill in the appropriate details, and they'll send you the details for GAT.
Now, GAT or GITAM Aptitude Test is just one way to get into GITAM, you can also become eligible for admission if you have taken JEE Mains or the EAMCET - Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test.

I had a simple and straightforward admissions experience for GITAM University's engineering programs. The application process was entirely online, which was incredibly handy for me. The application form explicitly outlined the qualifications and eligibility conditions, and the entire procedure took only a few days to complete.
