What is the fees for B Tech in management quota in Model Engineering College, Kochi?

The fees will be decided by the State government based on the recommendations of The Director, The Institute of Human Resources Development. As per the G.O. (MS) No. 345/2022/ HEDN dated 15/07/2022 from the government of Kerala, the fee details in this college are as follows.
1. Fees per semester for the candidates in the Merit quota is Rs,20,000/- per semester. Total 8 semesters. So the total fee is RS. 1,60,000/-.
2. Fees per semester for the candidates in the management quota is Rs.35,000/- per semester. Total 8 semesters. So the total fee is Rs.2,80.000/-.
3. Fees per annum for the candidates in the NRI quota is Rs.1,10,000/-. 4 years duration and hence the total fee is Rs.4,40,000/-.
In addition to the above candidate has to pay Rs.500.- as an admission fee and Rs.5000/- as a caution deposit which is returnable.

It is the first self-financing college under the Government of Kerala under the Institute of Human Resources Department. Hence there is no management quota admission as in other private self-financing colleges run by private individuals, private organizations, and even religious organizations.
MEC, Kochi is now affiliated with the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University.
The admission to MEC, Kochi is based on the scores /ranks in the Kerala Engineering, Agriculture and Medical (KEAM) common entrance test. There are various earmarking as per govt guidelines. The fee structure is also as per govt guidelines and revised from time to time.
The basic fee for B.Tech is Rs 35000/- year. For NRI it is about Rs 1.5 lakhs/per year. There can be additional payments on other heads amounting to 10 to 20 thousand overall also.
About admission, the college web site(mec.ac.in/admissions) says : "Allotment to 95% seats of the annual intake is made by the Commissioner for Entrance Examination (CEE), Government of Kerala from the rank list of Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination conducted every year by Government of Kerala. 5% seats are reserved for non resident Indians (NRI seats). For NRI admission, separate applications are invited by IHRD and rank list is prepared on the basis of qualifying examination and students are admitted from this rank list." unquote
There can be some spot admission towards later stages if vacancies exist after the various stages of the admission process. (In 2022 it was after the 3rd common allotment)
