My friend recently got admission to VIT Vellore in the B Tech program under the management quota and he was kind enough to share with me his experience of the fees he had to pay. He said that the total fee for his B Tech program under the management quota was around Rs 5.60 lakhs, which was broken down into two parts. The first part was the tuition fee, which was Rs 1.90 lakhs for the entire course. The second part was the hostel fee, which was Rs 3.70 lakhs for the entire course. This fee was quite affordable compared to some of the other engineering colleges in the city.
My friend also shared that the college had a lot of other facilities and services available for the students. There are management quota seats available in many private engineering colleges in our country and VIT, Vellore also has this provision.
For B.Tech courses related to Computer Science, Electronics, and related fields the management quota fee is about Rs 195000 per year and the student also has to deposit a one-time refundable caution money amounting to Rs 3000.
For other courses like Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Biotechnology, etc the fee is Rs 173000 per year along with one-time refundable caution money of Rs 3000.
