Which exam is preferable while applying for further education in Australia: PTE or IELTS?

Both are acceptable for migrating to Australia for further education, but I think that IELTS will be a better option than PTE.
PTE was launched in the year 2009. It was launched by Pearson Inc. This certification will have two tests - PTE Academic and PTE General. The Australian government is accepting this test also for issuing a VISA. If a person has to get an Australian VISA, he should sit for the Academic version of the test.
IELTS was launched in the year 1980. This test will examine the fluency of the candidate in English in both written and spoken formats. This test is recognised by almost 140 countries. Both paper-based and computer-based versions are available. You can choose any one of the two. There are 4 sections in this test namely speaking, writing, listening and reading.
The following are the advantages of IELTS
1. PTE is conducted, evaluated and marked by computers only. There is no human involvement. However, IELTS will use English experts to evaluate the candidates.
2. IELTS is well established and many countries accept this test.
3. IELTS is very widely accepted in Australia and many organisations in Australia prefer IELTS holders over PTE.
