NMIMS (Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies )was established in 1982 as a management institute under Mumbai University by Shri. Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal with a donation from Narsee Monjee Educational Trust. It became a deemed university in 2003. NMIMS offers various courses in Management, Engineering, Pharmacy, Architecture, Commerce, Business Economics, Science, Law, Aviation, Liberal Arts, Design & Distance Learning through campuses located in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Indore, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, and Shirpur through its 12 schools.

Admission to all their undergraduate and integrated postgraduate courses after 12th are through NMIMS-NPAT, an entrance test for admission. Online registration has enabled through NMIMS website.

NMIMS was started as a management institute and today, their management institutes are counted among the top business schools in India. Admission to all their two year full-time management courses is through a management admission test, NMAT by GMAC, an online test which is taken as a criterion for admission in so many leading business schools in India, followed by GD and PI. For two-year full-time postgraduate management programs, separate application forms can be downloaded through the NMIMS website and should be sent postally after paying a fee.
