Acharya Nagarjuna University is one of the best universities in Andhra Pradesh, India. It is located on the banks of river Krishna of Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh. Acharya Nagarjuna University was named after Acharya Nagarjuna, the profounder of the Madhyamika Buddhism. In 1976, government of A.P too provide the Post_Graduated education to the students of southern coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh. When the university was established, it offered only 14 courses. But the university has continuously grown and now it provides more than 45 courses to its students.

Acharya Nagarjuna University has more than 450 colleges affiliated to it which provides Under-Graduate, Post-Graduate, Engineering, Education, Law, Pharmacy and Oriental Languages courses. It also provides 39 post graduate teaching cum research courses on the campus. Acharya Nagarjuna University is spread over 293 acres of land. Vijayawada is the nearest city which is connected to all major cities of India. Acharya Nagarjuna University admission notification would be released in the month of July/August every year. Fees collected by the university is also very less with exemptions to SC, ST castes.

Acharya Nagarjuna University conducts exams twice in a year. It has hostel facility for boys and girls. It conducts entrance exam for PG admissions. Acharya Nagarjuna University degree results are announced in the month of April/May. It provides good practical knowledge to its students. Though it does not have world class class rooms and facilities, it stands at par with Indian standards. Thus we recommend southern coastal students to take admission into this university.

Admission details, Acharya Nagarjuna University

Admission to pharmacy and engineering courses will be through APEAMCT (Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agricultural,& Medical Common Entrance Test). B.Arch admissions will be based on NATA scores.

Medical Entrance test will be based on the candidate's performance in NEET.

PG admissions will be based an entrance test conducted by the university itself, called ANUPGCET (Acharya Nagarjuna University PG Common Entrance Test).

PhD or M.Phil admissions are open to candidates with NET/JRF/CSIR or equivalent & they can start doctoral studies at any time of the academic year; as per the university's rules, extra seats will be allotted to such candidates in case of lack of vacant seats. Others will have to pass an entrance test for PhD admissions in the relevant department of the university.
