FPSB is a self-regulatory organisation based in Mumbai which deals with setting up professional standards in developing and promoting financial planning professionals, through Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification in India. Worldwide, CFP certification has been awarded by FPSB affiliates to candidates who qualify the predefined criterion.

Before heading for registration in FPSB website, a candidate needs to get NCFM number through registering in NSE website (NCFM India website). After that, to pursue the CFP program, students must register through FPSB India's website, by clicking at the 'pathway to CFP certification' link. There are two pathways in becoming a CFP professional. First is- Regular, where 12th standard qualified candidates get registered and then, they complete the courses under the stipulated guidelines by FPSB India. Second is- Challenge status candidates who have already passed courses like CA, CS, LLB, etc. (list fully available in 'Challenge Status Programs' in FPSB India's website. These two pathways have different links for registration. Registrations are fully online where registration fee can be paid either offline (DD) or through online payment.
