On the Campus of Chaudhary Charan Singh University

The sprawling Wi-Fi-enabled campus of Chaudhary Charan Singh University spread over more than 200 acres of land has an exclusive rose garden as well as a garden with botanical plants. Academic classrooms are well placed in the different blocks with laboratories appropriate to the Department-wise subjects. Outdoor grounds, as well as an indoor stadium and gym, provide plenty of sporting and fitness activities and there are facilities for volleyball, basketball, hockey, etc. There is also a large auditorium, a community center for the University faculty and staff, a medical center with a qualified Medical Officer for consultation and a Pharmacist, a Bank and a post office. Snacks and meals are available in the campus canteen. The computer centre is open to students, faculty and research scholars. The computers and printers at this centre are also utilized for streamlining admissions and results and are useful for general administration work as well. The University's library is well stocked with over one lakh books as well as magazines and journals and UGC Infonet Online e-journals are also accessible to faculty and students. Comfortable accommodation is available for University faculty, staff and visiting faculty. There are also separate hostel facilities for boys and girls.

A unique facility is the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes Cell, set up exclusively to guide SC and ST students for scholarship programs, government schemes and other special provisions available for them. There is also a Women's' Cell to provide requisite guidance to female students and deal with their complaints if any. The Placement Cell offers career counselling, while the employment bureau set up by the State Govt. in the library building is a plus point towards providing potential job opportunities for students.

Chaudhary Charan Singh University has been credited for being the first to offer an M.Phil. program in India in 1969 and in that same year Ph.D. programs was also started. With the aim to enable students to get employment opportunities quickly, courses focusing on professional skills were introduced, some of which are sponsored by UGC and others are self-financed ones. As of today, more than 250 professional institutes and over a hundred colleges are affiliated to Chaudhary Charan Singh University.
