Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is an attached office under Union Ministry of Civil Aviation. The Headquarter of DGCA is in New Delhi. The vision of DGCA is to promote safe and efficient air transportation through regulation and pro-active safety oversight system. This is not an University. DGCA has no relation with University Grants Commission (UGC). However, it gives certificates on various aircraft-related technical matters and courses on piloting.
It is reiterated that DGCA is not an University, and it should be deleted from the list of universities or educational institutes.
