Shiv Nadar University, Delhi NCR, popularly known as SNU located in Noida, Uttar Pradesh is a multidisciplinary and student-centric university that focuses mainly on quality education and advanced research. It is a private university that was founded by the Shiv Nadar Foundation in 2011. The University has also received prestigious recognition “Institute of Eminence" by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, which makes it the world-class institute for education and research.

Internship opportunities are provided to the students to develop their knowledge and skills. Internship partners which offer internship opportunities are Bisleri, CSIR, BHEL, MGF, Fab hotels, BSNL, Coca Cola, BARC and DMRC, etc. Apart from this, after completing courses from SNU students get selected at top universities like Boston University, Arizona State University, University of Houston, IITs, etc.

Infrastructure

The University is spread over an area of 286 acres that may be expanded further, with state-of-the-art infrastructure. It has nine research centres, more than 150 research laboratories, 24 Departments, an Academy of Continuing Education and five Schools. University has well-equipped labs with good research facilities. All kinds of modern equipment are installed in labs.

SNU has a large Central Library which has a good collection of books and documents including textbooks, light reading books, reference books and newspapers, magazines and periodicals. More than 2000 periodicals and 52 magazines in both English and Hindi language are available in the library for readers. The library catalogue is available in a digital format, having e-periodicals, e-books, and theses and dissertations in depositories and Open Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) can be accessed through the internet. The library remains open on all working days.

Facilities

SNU is well-known for its excellent research facilities and inculcates research and analytical abilities among students through pedagogical training, perseverance and extraordinary research.

Sports facilities are also developed at a large scale. University has approx. 1.2 lakh sq ft indoor sports area. Football, badminton, and another kind of sports programs and recreational activities are available at the campus. Students also participate in inter-university competitions or intra-club (SNUSL) league activities.

Besides, several other facilities like grocery stores, cafeterias, medical facilities are also available on the campus.
