Campus infrastructure and facilities

There is no dearth of premium facilities which form KU's campus infrastructure. The hostel accommodation in the WiFi-enabled campus is a home away from home with fully furnished, tidy, well-ventilated rooms. Tasty and wholesome food is available in the mess and efficient staff are ever present to take care of maintenance. The menu of snacks and meals is drawn up with the advice of expert nutritionists. Yummy food is also available at the in-house, hygienic vegetarian restaurant with the unusual name of 'Anticlock'. The open space outside the restaurant makes for a great place to get together and unwind. Special meals can also be provided on request as per health requirements. Talking about health, this is given high priority. Medical and health problems are dealt with right away, with a General Physician as well as a female Gynaecologist available for three hours daily from Monday to Saturday. Counsellors are also available to help students deal with anxiety, stress and other problems.

Then there are the impressive sports facilities at Karnavati University, both outdoors and indoors. Enjoy a game of football, cricket, basketball or badminton and stay fit with workouts at the campus gym. Well-stocked libraries and technologically advanced labs, a salon and stationery shop complete the picture of a superb contemporary campus. Security is taken care of with CCTV for surveillance which is monitored round the clock via a control room and fire alarm systems are installed all over the campus. United World School of Business

United World School of Business (UWSB) offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in management. The aim, though, is not just to impart knowledge through formal studies but to develop analytical skills and be ready to take up a career in professional management through analytical and problem-solving skills. Other than regular classroom schedules, eminent people from India and abroad are invited as Guest lecturers which provide students with the opportunity to interact with corporate CEOs, learned academicians and other distinguished individuals. The courses offered are PGDM AICTE-approved (Ahmedabad), PGPM + PGDM (Kolkata) and BBA (Hons.)

The PGDM courses include four semesters of academic classes and two months of industry internship, Skills to hone leadership and teamwork abilities, how to network and negotiate, etc are all part of the learning process. Similarly, the BBA (Hons.) course helps students to develop professional skills and develop their overall personality. Foreign language training, industry visits and the option to study abroad are also provided in this program.

Unitedworld Institute of Design

Unitedworld Institute of Design (UID) offers B.Des. (4 years) and M.Des. (2 years) courses in the area of art & design. Creative and technical skills are developed under the expert guidance of qualified faculty who have are alumni of premier institutes such as NID, NIFT and IIT. The courses include –

The Visual Communication UG course incorporates modules on typography, creating visual structures, colour design and composition, etc while the postgraduate course includes visual scripting and treatment, 3D modeling, advance photography with the use of different software, etc.

The Animation & Motion Graphics' course enables the students to create lifelike animations with visual effects, learn about cinematic language and aesthetics, with principles of filmmaking also being a part of the curriculum.

The Fashion Design UG course includes fashion illustration, fabric draping, garment study, pattern-making, etc. Digital presentation techniques and various software skills like Photoshop, coral draw and fashion CAD are also part of the course.

The Apparel & Textile Design PG course not only helps students to develop fashion skills but also learn apparel design to make functional clothing. As part of the course, students undertake a six-month real life industry-sponsored research design project.

The Lifestyle Accessory Design UG course focuses on drawing, digital rendering, form studies and product development with material and technical studies, craft development and research, understanding market trends, etc being part of the curriculum.

The Product Design UG course enables students to learn the basics of product designs & technology, package design and form semantics, etc while the PG course will update their skills through the learning modules of 3D rendering techniques, presentation and communication skills and also working with professionals to design products.

The Automobile and Transportation design UG course focuses on designing automobiles keeping in mind not just consumer needs but other factors as well, such as environmental concerns and socio-economic conditions. The curriculum includes concept sketching, rendering the sketches in digital format, vehicle package designing, etc.

The Interior Design UG and PG courses enable students to learn about designing for indoor and outdoor spaces, including for homes, offices, educational spaces, etc. Those keen on focusing on furniture designing can pursue the PG course, where one learns about the technical aspects of furniture making, incorporating modular technology in the designs, etc.

United World School of Law

Unitedworld School of Law (UWSL) offers a five-year integrated course with successful students graduating with a BBA LL.B degree. Not merely focusing on law, the curriculum incorporates other aspects such as IT, finance and investments, business management, HR, corporate governance, etc. There are internships at the end of each semester, for a better understanding of the subject matter. Moot court competitions, mock trials, parliamentary debate contests and other unique programs make the course an exciting one. Honourable Judges and eminent lawyers are on the faculty as well as invited to give guest lectures and speak at seminars. Legal acumen and professional experience are also gained through court visits.

Unitedworld Liberal Arts and Mass Communications

Unitedworld Liberal Arts and for Mass Communications (USLM) offers a BA (Liberal Arts) Honours UG programme and, on completing this course, students can opt for the Advanced Diploma programme of one year (2 Semesters). The 3-year UG course on Mass Communications offers specializations in Print & Cybermedia, Broadcast Media & Cinema or PR and Advertising & Corporate Communication in the final year.
