The University of Delhi (also known as Delhi University, DU) is a public state university established in 1922 and located in New Delhi, the national capital of India. It is one of India's largest university with two campuses namely South as well as North, both of them including a total of 16 faculties of studies, 86 departments, 5 institutes, as well as 77 affiliated colleges altogether. The University offers undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, as well as other courses like certificate courses, diploma, and pg Diploma courses.

The constituent colleges in Delhi University's North Campus are, Indraprastha College for Women, Hanslal College, Swami Sradhanand College, Kirori Mal College, Daulat Ram College, Hindu College, Dyal Singh College, Shri Ram College of Commerce, Miranda Women's College, SGTB Khalsa College, Ramjas College, as well as the famous St. Stephens College.
Additionally, the University of Delhi's north campus also includes some of the important institutes like Delhi School of Economics and Delhi School of Journalism. The north campus also houses centers like Ambedkar Center for Biomedical Research, as well as the Cluster Innovation Center (The center introduced innovation as a credit-based course for the first time in India).

Central campus including Zakir Husain Delhi College which offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Arts, Commerce, and Science. UCMS (University College of Medical Sciences) is another constituent college of Delhi University on the eastern side, which is a medical college whose teaching hospital is Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital.

Admissions to University of Delhi 2019

Engineering courses: Through JEE mains and for engineering PG through GATE. Engineering admissions can also be granted on the basis of University of Delhi Entrance Test.

For MBA, a valid CAT score can be a basic requirement, whereas BBA requires to qualify an entrance exam conducted by Delhi University itself.

Registrations for admissions to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses at DU can be done online from the month of May, every year.

Doctoral (M.Phil /Ph.D.) admissions are done through an entrance test conducted by the University of Delhi. But the candidates having NET/JRF, etc. are exempted from this entrance test.
