Popularly called IIT D or IIT Delhi, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi is a premier engineering institute located in Hauz Khas, New Delhi, India. It is an Institute of National Importance in India. IIT D is also an Institute of Eminence (IoE), which gives it the power to take decisions by its own.

IIT Delhi offers undergraduate, postgraduate, as well as doctoral courses in the fields of engineering, science, as well as management (MBA and PhD).

Admission to its 4year B.Tech as well as dual degree (B.Tech + M.Tech) courses are through JEE mains.

M.Tech, MS (by research) admissions are on the basis of GATE.

IIT Delhi's PG admission's online application will be during March. Test / Interviews will be in the month of May. Registration, orientation, as well as commencement of classes for new PG students will be usually in the second half of July.

PhD admissions are on the basis of interview conducted by IIT Delhi's respective department. Announcements will be made twice in an year, in May and in October.
