Admission to all B.Tech courses will be through JEE mains.

M.Tech admissions will be based on the candidate's GATE score.

M.Sc admissions will be granted on the basis of candidate's performance in JAM (Joint Admission Test for M.Sc).

B.Des & M.Des admissions will be on the basis of UCEED (Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design) & CEED (Common Entrance Exam for Design) respectively. CEED determines admission to M.Des & PhD courses in the relevant areas.

PhD admissions will be granted on the basis of GATE/NET/CSIR or equivalent scores.

Admission to MA in Development Studies offered by IITG Humanities & Social Sciences department will be on the basis of a written test & interview conducted at the department.
