Dayalbagh Educational Institute (DEI) is a deemed university located at Dayalbagh in the city of Agra. Started off as a primary school in 1917 and later on a technical college giving training in automobile, mechanical and electrical engineering in 1927, DEI became a deemed university in 1981.

Various academic departments in DEI are :

1. Faculty of Arts - Departments of Drawing & Painting, English, Hindi, Home Science, Music and Sanskrit.

2. Faculty of Commerce - Departments of Accountancy & Law, Applied Business Economics.

3. Faculty of Education - Departments of Foundations of Education, Pedagogical Sciences.

4. Faculty of Engineering - Departments of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.

5. Faculty of Science - Departments of Botany, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics & Computer Science, Zoology.

DEI Admission 2019

Engineering courses : JEE Mains qualified candidates can apply. For B.Arch, NATA is a must. GATE score is the criterion for postgraduate engineering admission.

Postgraduate courses : Marks obtained for graduation along with the performance in a written test and personal interview conducted by DEI will be considered for admission to M.A, M.Sc, M.Ed, MBA, PG Diploma, and M.Voc courses.

M.Phil and PhD courses : Written Objective Test for M.Phil and Research Entrance Test (RET) for PhD is conducted by DEI. Candidates who qualified NET-JRF/GATE/M.Phil doesn't need to appear for RET.
