Also called NIT Allahabad, Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT) is an
Institute of National Importance (INI) and a premiere engineering college in the country. MNNIT is named after Motilal Nehru, father of India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.

MNNIT offers UG, PG, as well as PhD in the areas of Engineering, Sciences, Management Sciences, Humanities & Social Sciences.

Chemical Engineering - B.Tech, M.Tech.

Civil Engineering - B.Tech, M.Tech (in Structural, Environmental, Geo-technical, Environmental Geo-Technical).

Computer Science & Engineering - B.Tech, M.Tech (in Computer Science & Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology), MCA.

Electrical Engineering - B.Tech, M.Tech (in Control & Instrumentation / Power Systems, Power Electronics & AISC Design).

Electronics & Communication - B.Tech, M.Tech (in Digital Systems, Microelectronics & VLSI design).

Mechanical Engineering - B.Tech (in Mechanical Engineering, Production & Industrial Engineering), M.Tech (in Computer Aided Design & Manufacturing, Design, Production Engineering (full-time as well as part-time M.Tech), Product Design & Development).

The department of Humanities & Social Sciences has the responsibility of these courses as per the syllabus of various engineering degree offered at MNNIT - Accounting & Financial Accounting (for MCA), English Language & Composition, Principles of Management, Communications Skills Workshop, (for all B.Tech courses), Social Psychology, Industrial Psychology, Accounting & Financial Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Human Resource Management, Indian Social Organization (open electives for B.Tech courses; last two only for B.Tech Civil Engineering courses).

Admission details, Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT)

Admission to B.Tech will be through JEE mains.

M.Tech admissions are open to those with a valid GATE score.

MCA admissions will be on the basis of candidate's performance in NIMCET (NIT MCA Common Entrance Test).

M.Sc admissions will be based on the candidate's performance in JAM (Joint Admission for M.Sc) followed by a centralized counseling called CCMN (Centralized Counseling for M.Sc / M.Sc (Tech.)).

For admission to PhD to streams other than Engineering, NET qualification is a must.

PhD in Engineering streams are open to those candidates with exceptional, i.e. more than 75% score for their B.Tech.
