1) Faculty of Engineering - Schools of Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Management, Architecture & Landscape Design, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Food Technology comes under this faculty. All these departments offer B.Tech, M.Tech, as well as PhD (full-time as well as part-time) in various areas.

2) Faculty of Sciences - Schools coming under this faculty are, schools of Mathematics, Chemistry, and Biotechnology, offering M.Sc and PhD in the same. M.Sc Biotechnology offers specialization in Genetics.

Admission details, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVD University)

B.Tech admissions will be based on the candidate's JEE main performance, and B.Arch through performance in NATA.

M.Tech admissions will be based on GATE score and for those who don't have it, will be based on a written test along with the interview which has been conducted by SMVD University.

M.Sc admissions will be based on candidate's JAM score and for those who don't have it, it will be based on an SMVD University-level entrance test.

MA admissions will also be based on an entrance test conducted by SMVD University.

PhD admissions will be open to PG holders in a related discipline with a valid NET/CSIR/SLET scores. Those without score cards will have to attend a written entrance test along with a personal interview.
