Undergraduate admissions are on merit based on the marks obtained by the candidates for qualification examination, 12th or equivalent. For doctoral studies like PhD, candidates with NET/JRF or equivalent will get preference. M.Phil admissions are open to candidates with a valid post-graduation in a related filed of study.

Postgraduate courses are open to candidates who have completed their degrees.

University of Mysore (Commonly known as Mysore University) is a public university at Mysore, Karnataka, established by the then Maharaja of Mysore, Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV. Postgraduate admissions will be based on a common admission test, PGEE (PG Entrance Exam) conducted by the university.

Admissions to the courses, MBA (General), M.Tech, and MCA will be filled as per the rules set by Karnataka Examination Authority ( Check out KEA website for more details).

For Doctoral (M.Phil, PhD) admissions, University of Mysore conducts an entrance exam followed by an interview. Candidates with NET/JRF/CSIR or equivalent will be exempted from this entrance.
