The University of Kota is a prestigious public university in Rajasthan which offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses in arts, science, social sciences, commerce, management, law and education subjects. This educational institution is situated in the culturally rich heritage city of Kota, on the bank of the holy river Chambai, in Rajasthan. There are about 180 colleges affiliated with this university in six districts of Rajasthan, namely Kota, Bundi, Baran, Jhalawar, Karauli, and Sawai Madhopur. Courses and eligibility for admission

The University of Kota or simply called Kota University provides undergraduate courses, postgraduate courses, and doctoral level courses in various subjects

At the undergraduate level, this university offers three courses they are B.Sc General, B.Sc Honours, and B.Pharm. B.Sc General degree courses are here for the subjects Chemistry, Zoology, Biology, Mathematics, Botany and Physics. B.Sc Honours course is offered only for the subject Physics. The minimum eligibility for admission to UG courses is a 10+2 pass. Admission to undergraduate courses is purely based on merit.

Master of Business Administration (M.B.A), Master of Arts (M.A), Master of Science (M.Sc), Master of Social Works (M.S.W), Master of Commerce (M.Com), Master of Technology (M.Tech), Master of Physical Education (M.P.Ed), and so forth are the main postgraduate courses offered by Kota University. There are different specialisations for each programme. All these courses are two-year duration courses. This university offers a Master of Computer Application (MCA) course. The course duration is three years. The minimum educational qualification for a postgraduate degree course is a degree from a recognised university in the related subject. Admission to M.P.Ed course will be on the basis of the marks scored in B.P.Ed in the degree level. For admission to MBA course in Kota University, Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT), Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), Management Aptitude Test (MAT), Common Management Admission Test (CMAT), Common Admission Test (CAT), AIMS Test for Management Admissions (ATMA) examination scores will be considered. The admissions to all other PG courses will be done on the basis of entrance examinations conducted by Kota University.

Kota University offers Ph.D. and M.Phil courses in different specializations. Students seeking admission to Ph.D. and M.Phil courses must have passed a master's degree from a recognised university with at least 55% marks in the aggregate. Students in the reserved category will get 5% relaxation in marks. M.Phil and Ph.D. admission-seeking students must undergo the entrance examination conducted by the university. Students who have qualified for CSIR NET / GATE / UGC-NET are not required to appear for the entrance examination.

Admission Process

After the scrutiny of the application, eligible candidates will be shortlisted and called for counseling. The names of the shortlisted students will be published on the website. For admission, the students should attend the counseling that will be conducted by the university with original certificates.
