Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University is one of the best universities of Maharashtra,India. Presently, the university covers five districts i.e., Amravati, Akola, Yavatmal, Buldhana and Washim of Maharashtra. "Education for salvation of soul" is the motto of the university. Amravati university is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, London. Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University is spread across 225 hectares of land. It has 127 colleges affiliated to it with more than 90,000 students enrolled.

It offers post graduate and advanced education in Computer, Biotechnology, Business Management, Law & degree courses in Chemical-Technology to the students.
