Sponsored by the Viswa Bharati Education Society, the Chaitanya Degree College was established in 1991 and theChaitanya Post Graduate College in 1993.The Colleges are ideally located in the heart of Hanamkonda city, and especially in the prime residential sector of Kishanpura area. Since the inception, these colleges have been marching a head with the sole objective of maintaining high academic standards and providing career-oriented education in the most cost-effective manner.
Impressed by its academic performance, Kakatiya University ,to which these colleges are affiliated , has granted permanent affiliation and enabled the m to get included under section 2(f) and 12 (B) of the University Grants Commission Act..
TheSociety constructed three well-equipped and imposing buildings for housing the Degree & P.G. Colleges, the expenditure being meted out from its own funds.
Accredited with their academic distinction both at Degree and P.G. levels, the colleges have emerged as the best of the colleges, affiliated to the Kakatiya University.
Apart from regular academic activities the college is also offering various short-term courses to the college and the outside students
to improve different skills.
