Discipline is not just in the classrooms on campus
Every educational institute has very clear-cut rules and regulations that make it clear that indiscipline will not be tolerated. A few students may play harmless pranks, and quite possibly get into a fight (hopefully not physical) before the teacher enters the classroom. The minute the teacher's approach is seen/heard or the teacher enters, then discipline is restored, otherwise, it will be surely restored once the teacher enters and shouts at everyone.Discipline on the campus, though, is not just about sitting quietly in the classroom and paying attention. If students are moving from one classroom to another, or are returning from the washroom, they are expected not to run down the corridors or talk loudly or shout. During morning assembly, too, whispering, tickling someone, or pulling the pigtails of the girl in front are considered indisciplined behavior. Then there is the playground that is not just for PT or learning a sport, but also a fun space during breaks. Students who start shoving and pushing during a game that turns it into a nasty free-for-all will right away be reprimanded and sometimes their parents need to be summoned for repeated fights.
Also, discipline at school should be imbibed in a manner that it automatically comes into play at home and other places, when we interact with others.
