How to encourage creativity related to media careers

A fabulous television serial in Tamil, in a famous private channel, comes alive at 9.30 PM every night. The force behind this number one rated serial in Tamil ( reportedly leading among all Indian languages, in the top five), is its famous director, who goes around the State of Tamil Nadu, keenly watches real life characters and then develops a big story around what he gets to see.

Ably supported by a superb script writer, who is also a television artiste, the serial is well known for its native Madurai accent and the story that involves a massive dose of women's liberation, beautifully set up in a cultural context.

This brings us to one vital question -- we have too many script writers in our schools and colleges. Very often they imagination runs wild and they come up with good scripts. We should encourage such talents at a very young age and keep motivating them to do their best, even in the school or college functions.

Today, we have already reached a tipping point in terms of massive influence of such television serials in our lives. The serial under reference has been dubbed and is now available in other languages as well. It is so popular that it also comes live on Sundays as well, and is probably the only serial that has earned this distinction. Each of the characters are so real and closely resemble what we see all around us.

Young students with diverse creativity talents can simply take on the world in the coming years. The electronic media is here to stay as a big game changer in our lives.

Electronic media is very useful for budding artists to get exposed to the world. During the 1970s and 1980s, there were no chances for many young people to showcase their talents. But the situation is completely different now.
Late SP Balu, a great singer conducted a programme called Paduta Teeyaga in a famous Telugu channel and brought many singers to the limelight. Many of those singers are now contributing their voices to the Telugu film industry. In the same way, many other programmes on TV channels are giving chances to young talent to get exposed themselves.
I think already many channels are giving chances to young people to exhibit their talents. One Channel in Kannada is encouraging boys and girls to chant slokas on their channel. That is giving a chance for these people to learn slokas.
Definitely, I feel electronic media is helping a lot to the creative people to excel in that area by showing their talent on the screen.

TV channels and TV programs are giving a big opportunity to the people to showcase their talents in a variety of ways. Young people can definitely take advantage of this scenario and try to participate in these activities by proving their talents in the auditions and other related tests for entering in this industry.
Making a good serial is a matter of imagination and inherent talent that some people possess. Young people who can think in innovative ways can also write or produce scripts which can attract the viewers.

    Knowledge is power.
