Education is complete only if spiritual aim involved

It is, of course, a modern world and the education pattern should be vivid accordingly. But a man without good character, though highly qualified, is not considered a man in this universe. Character building can be done only through a spiritual sense. From the Schooling years spiritual awareness should be taught to the students. It does not mean that spiritual awareness can or should be withdrawn at the college level and is highly necessary for college students.

Nowadays suicide cases are increasing day by day in students, and working folk as their mindset is not properly built. For this Spiritual knowledge is an important tool.

According to Dadaji Amiya Roy Chowdhury, 'Our life has both good and evil in its course, but there is a thing above and beyond this. He repeatedly asks what is the aim of education. The aim of education is to develop self-inquiry - who am I, Why I take this body, What path should I follow and what is my duty?

American Philosopher William James stressed that faith in God has endowed the human mind with such an invaluable gift, from which you have no right to deprive them of.

According to Dadaji education without spiritual aim is never perfect.

A thought provoking post by the author. The aim of education is learning and gain knowledge. The students acquire academic qualifications and then start searching for jobs or start their work or business. That is normally how people look to education as part of our lives.
But there is more to it. One of the most important but mostly forgotten point about education is that it should inculcate moral and ethical values in the students. Whether it is moral teaching or spiritual attainment students are supposed to know all about how to behave, deal, and function in this world in a moralistic way. Some attributes like honesty, integrity, and nationality are to be awakened and preserved in the minds of the students if we want them to become a good citizen of the country.
Students who have a good character after coming out through a good set of educational courses will be a great value to the nation and such nations will definitely progress and develop much faster than others.
It is very much required that we have to bring a robust and character making educational system in our country.

    Knowledge is power.

A nice subject from the author and my appreciations to him for his thoughts and making us to realize the importance of education. Education is not just for making a living. It should enlighten the individual about what is the way of life we should follow. Self realization should come from education. Human beings are different from all other animals as they have the ability to think. So one should know what are the good deeds and what are the bad deeds. Education should bring in discipline in the life of the individual. Education without discipline is a waste.
If all educated behave ethically and do good only, the nation will progress. Believing God and having self respect are very important for an educated person.
One should realize the importance of nature and all educated should protect this nature. They should know how to respect elders and how to manage their lives in a spiritual path. Then only we can say that the education is complete.

We need education not related to the technical fields alone but the education should be such that we need to think over the aspects and norms being followed in the societies. We have seen how in the primary stages of the kids are taught regarding the social values , culture, interactions with the people, decency of behaviour, protection of nature and many more.
I think that this is the important stage where we are taught multiple things to make the students understand the values of all the norms being followed in the modern societies.
However, as the students move to the higher levels of education, they mainly concentrate on the assignments which they have taken up specialisations ignoring other important parameters which could help us to understand the human beings completely.
It is a good reminder from the side of the author that the spiritual value should not only be taught but should also be practiced throughout our life and this should be our principal objective.

Education must help to instil values in human lives. Along with the regular subjects like Mathematics, Languages, etc subjects like Moral Science are also taught to students. I believe many students score high marks in those subjects but unfortunately, they fail to apply them in their lives. It is not because they have not studied the subject properly but because they haven't found a role model whom they may follow in life. Most of us are aware of the social norms and know what is not approved in society. For example, telling lies and using foul language is not at all approved in any society. But what do we experience in reality? We see even our near and dear ones, family members included, behaving rudely with others and telling lies at random. So what is learnt and practised are quite different. If we can follow someone who leads an exemplary life then it will help us to grasp things better. Otherwise, all such moral values will rest quietly inside the books only.
